LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Each month, News 3 is proud to bring you a segment called “Superhero Thursday.” Not all superheroes wear capes, but they can make a difference.
News 3 anchor Krystal Allan highlights a special group helping students stay in school and on track to graduate. They’re called site coordinators. They work with Communities In Schools of Nevada (CIS) – a program operating in 75 schools statewide.
We also recognize an organization partnering with CIS to help students overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.
Future Smiles is one of those organizations. It helps underserved students receive dental care at no cost to their families. Future Smiles served 5,000 Clark County School district children a year.
If you’re interested in helping the organization carry out its mission or a family in need of help, call 702-799-1204
Check out Krystal’s report and see how Future Smiles is helping CIS students and their families.
